OUR PURPOSE

We are a small group of retired women who have been meeting ever since the 2016 election of Trump. Over the last four years we have been committed to bringing back honesty and justice by contacting our Members of Congress. We have marched in protests, posted signs in our neighborhood and written hundreds of ‘Get Out the Vote’ postcards for the 2018 and 2020 elections.

America has succeeded in electing Biden, so we are looking forward to including some fun diversions with less stress. We are adding a monthly book club and a craft/sewing session. Sadly, the GOP continues to be a threat to our Democracy by spreading lies, racism and insurrection. Therefore, we will continue to meet twice per month to discuss current events.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

To remain silent & indifferent is the greatest sin of all.

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

We must always take sides.  Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim.  Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.

Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.

Let us remember:  what hurts the victim most is not the cruelty of the oppressor, but the silence of the bystander.

One person of integrity can make a difference.

There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.
